Baked, roasted, concentrated and caramel-like, with later notes of toasted barley mixed in with honey, winter holiday spices and high-content cocoa. Midpalate is a feast of molasses, honey, vanilla extract, caramel corn and toasted marshmallow. Concludes smooth, satiny, rich and elegant.

Smells enticingly of rose petals, tangerine, orange zest, grass and nutmeg; later on, the tangerine-orange combo takes charge. The palate entry is squeaky clean, hoppy and tart; the midpalate is long, deep, and engagingly cereal-like. Finishes harmoniously, with a trace of pine or cedar.

Sourcing from Alexandria Nicole Cellars in Prosser, Washington, Dogfish Head added Pinot Gris must and botrytized Viognier must to a brew made from pils and wheat malts and fermented the mix with a Belgian yeast strain. The result is certain to satisfy even the most divided house, with brisk carbonation and a clean malt core that’s lifted with sweet vinous…

Perhaps one of the best-known American DIPAs today, Dogfish knows how to do it right for serious hopheads looking for a strong, astringent kick. Dark stone fruit and fig add depth to the otherwise hop-dominated nose, while resin and pine flood the full-bodied and round mouth. The aroma from start to finish suggests peaches, apricots, untreated pine, and grassy hops. The taste is keenly refreshing, tart, a touch lemony, and even meringue-like. Ends in a flurry of fruity hops and ripe but astringent flavors.

An unbelievably refreshing Berliner Weisse-style beer fermented with fresh peaches, this tart expression is somewhat difficult to come by with only a handful of producers still making the style. Beautiful aromas and flavors of fresh peaches, sour Granny Smith and hints of resiny oil promise pure refreshment. The vibrant acidity and effervescence only further…

A beautiful burnt orange color with an assertive nose full of spice (clove, nutmeg, cinnamon) and notes of roasted pumpkin wedges sprinkled with brown sugar. Spice dominates the mouth as well, with accents of mashed pumpkin, roasty malt and a kiss of hop bitterness rounding out the medium-bodied mouth. Warm finish.
