Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA

  1. $11
Being a DIPA, there’s a serious hop character to this brew. It’s deep and heady with intense sticky hop notes of grapefruit oil and a touch of resin. Caramel malt appears in the viscous mouth, with a touch of rich pineapple and tangerine acidity brightening things up on the finish. A real pleaser for true hop heads.  — L.B.  (5/1/2011)

Harpoon UFO White

  1. $9
There’s a definite orange streak throughout this beer, with a strong wheat backbone flooding the mouth, and hints of sweet spice add complexity to the palate. The mouthfeel is chewy but spritzy, and the finish is completely clean and dry with a subtle orange essence flavor. An excellent and refreshing choice for summer sipping.  — L.B.  (7/1/2011)

Harpoon UFO Hefeweizen

  1. $9
A stellar hefe that shows excellent balance and refinement: It’s full in the mouth yet refreshing. Citrus aromas greet you immediately on the nose, with notes of clove, banana, pepper and raw dough following shortly after. The texture is grainy and satisfying, but the bubbly carbonation cleanses the tongue and leaves a lemony tartness on the close.  — L.B.  (7/1/2011)

Harpoon Leviathan Big Bohemian Pilsner

  1. $11
A frothy white head appears upon pouring, leaving traces of lacing around the glass as the liquid falls. Smooth and creamy, there’s some serious weight to the mouthfeel with a good amount of warmth lingering after each swallow. Sweet malt and doughy notes are jazzed up with accents of peppery spice, citrus pith and a touch of honey on the close. This is one brew…  — L.B.  (8/1/2011)

Harpoon IPA

  1. $9
Lemony citrus and fresh green grass are the driving forces behind this brew, with a touch of bready malt character adding a bit of depth and richness. It’s medium weight with pronounced carbonation and a lively, easygoing texture. The hops, though certainly there, are not overpowering or dominating.  — L.B.  (5/1/2011)

Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen

  1. $9
Pours a cloudy soft pinky-peach hue. Aromas of yeast, sweet citrus and fresh raspberry juice appear in the bouquet. The round, medium-weight mouth shows a nice bready note lifted by accents of tart citrus. Crisp but doughy and not overpowered by the fruit flavor; easy to drink and a great pairing for summer salads (or a base for a dressing).  — L.B.  (6/1/2011)

Harpoon 100 Barrel Series Session 36 Island Creek Oyster Stout

  1. $5
Although the thought of an oyster stout might not sound appealing to most, one sip and you’ll be a convert, especially if you pair it with freshly shucked oysters. Brewed with freshly harvested Island Creek oysters, there’s a superb briny minerality to this beer, weaving throughout all the other typically roasty malt and coffee characteristics. The carbonation is…  — L.B.  (12/15/2011)

Harpoon Summer Beer

  1. $8
This Kölsch-style beer is golden colored and light in body, with mild aromas of lager malt, wheat and floral hops. The palate shows similar characteristics as the nose but provides a bit more orange citrus character and spice. A tremendously crisp dryness overwhelms the mouth upon swallowing. The finish is ridiculously clean with only a touch of bitter character…  — L.B.  (6/1/2009)
