A newcomer to the spirits biz, this brand is named for notorious bootlegger Dutch Schultz. How fitting to start by issuing a moonshine, and a unique one at that: It’s distilled from pure cane sugar, though it’s classified as “neutral cane,” not rum. That said, this vanilla-forward hooch, with a delicate floral touch on the lingering finish, would be great for using in any drink usually made with rum. Well balanced and smooth.
