“De Compostella,” meaning field or compilation of stars, reflects the fact that each component is crafted to stand alone; all varieties are vinified separately, aged and then blended. Vibrant plum, black cherry and blackberry are spiced with notes of licorice root, leather and tobacco. It’s a dense and powerful Bordeaux-style blend with a firm structure that promises to develop beautifully with time in the cellar.
