Bin 707 always stands out for its massive initial hit of American oak, but this wine has the fruit-driven power to stand up to its barrel regime. Perhaps because of the warm vintage, the wine is full-bodied but rather open-knit on the palate, marrying cedar and vanilla with cassis. Anticipated maturity: 2015–2025.
