Expert Reviews

Named after the home town of Santa Ema’s Italian-born owner, Rivalta blends Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller doses of Carmenère and Syrah. The result is a warm, extracted almost foresty wine with tobacco, spice, pepper and dark-fruit aromas and flavors. Comes on fiercely woody on the finish, with a hint of leafiness. Very modern and extracted; the positives comfortably outweigh any shortcomings.
