Big and chewy and inky black, this clearly well-crafted Petite Sirah is full of black fruit—mostly blackberry—and peppery tones. The tannins stand out and yet mellow as the wine opens. A few more years in bottle should get them to the appropriate place. Enjoy this wine with a pepper steak or ravioli.
