The nosing passes find intensely spirity, tropical fruit-like scents with additional fragrances of English toffee, sautéed almonds, quince, melon and fruitcake. The palate entry is sweet, piny and spirity; the midpalate is spirity, intensely oaky and sweet. An intriguing marriage of malt whisky matured in brandy cask. Good concept.
