Deep and dark, with lots of heavy toast on the tart black and blueberry flavors, this tastes a bit like a lightweight mountain Cabernet. It’s fairly full, with brisk acidity, licorice and herb accents. Appealingly rugged, this closes solid, dry and earthy. —M.M.
