The bouquet smells enticingly of fresh cherries, cherry pit, limestone and cooking spice. Entry is ripe and seductively sweet, with touches of spice; the midpalate explodes with juicy cherry and cherry compote tastes, supported and balanced by mineral. Concludes with a lovely rush of ripe cherry flavor.

The nosing passes find vivid scents of fresh raspberries with nuances of brambles and vines. Entry offers a surprisingly lean raspberry fruit flavor that’s tamped down by the high acidity; the midpalate doesn’t quite deliver on the fresh raspberry taste that was implied by the promising bouquet. Finishes smooth, adequately raspberry-like and clean.
