Rain Vodka

  1. $22
Made from organically grown white corn. Smells of pear drop, moss and hay in the first sniffing; aeration allows the aroma to deepen, especially the appealing earthy moss/wet soil perfume. Palate entry is feather-light; at midpalate there’s a firm but satiny taste of sweet grain. Aftertaste is grainy. Delicious and delicate.  — P.P.  (12/15/2003)

Rain Vodka

  1. $18
The sweet corn aroma right after the pour is enticing, clean, and soft; aeration further stimulates an appetizing corn-like sweetness. The palate entry is more bittersweet than the aroma, but just as seductive; at midpalate there’s a focused lead-pencil taste that brings the grainy sweetness into check. Finishes sweet, warming and a tad prickly. Best Buy.  — P.P.  (7/1/2005)

Rain 2006 Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough)

  1. $14
A solid example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at a reasonable price, this shows off hints of stone fruit accented by jalapeño pepper. It’s plump and a bit soft, with flavors of melon, fig and peach. Reasonably intense and very fruity. Drink now.  — J.C.  (12/15/2006)

Rain Organics

  1. $21
The vodka inside the pretty rainbow-shaped bottle reads almost like a light rum. It has a sweet, marshmallow-like fragrance as well as a sweet vanilla flavor, unmitigated by ice. Very smooth. Made from organic white corn and distilled seven times.  — K.N.  (7/1/2011)
