Quinta do Vale Meão 2012 Red (Douro)

  • Cellar Selection
  • Online Exclusive
  1. $75

This is one of the grand wines of the Douro, from the last estate to be founded by the legendary Dona Antonia Ferreira in the 19th century. This is a long-lasting wine showing a fresh character, with dense, dark tannins and intense floral fruit. This will age for many years, so don’t drink before 2020.

Don Pancho Origenes Reserva Aged 30 Years

  1. $425

The magnum opus of rum maestro Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez, this velvet-soft, limited-edition rum is redolent of rich, warm caramel accented with espresso and cocoa. It fades gracefully into long notes of toffee and clove.

Ramey 2012 Cole Creek Vineyard Syrah (Russian River Valley)

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $65

This is a gorgeous expression of the variety, co-fermented with 6% Viognier, fruity, ripe and plush yet also completely varietal in its punches of floral white pepper, anise and gamy meat. Although the wine is ready to enjoy now, those who can restrain themselves should cellar it through 2022 to see how it further develops.

Diplomatico Ambassador Selection

  1. $275

Rich and concentrated, this is a blend of rums aged up to 12 years, then aged an additional two years in former PX Sherry casks. The end result is luxurious, thick in caramel, toffee and gingerbread flavors that finish long and elegant, with clove, allspice, dry cocoa, leather and orange peel accents. It sips beautifully.

Joh. Jos. Prüm 2013 Bernkasteler Badstube Auslese Riesling (Mosel)

  • Editors' Choice
  • Online Exclusive
  1. $50

Sheer in texture, this honeyed nectar falls on the palate like a whisper, but its stone fruit, red berry and grapefruit flavors are powerful and compounding. Multifaceted with touches of sugar cookie and guava juxtaposed with lime zest and slate, it delivers a long, ponderous finish.

Joh. Jos. Prüm 2013 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese Riesling (Mosel)

  • Editors' Choice
  • Online Exclusive
  1. $52

Blossomy pink-grapefruit perfume bursts from this fruity, floral, complex auslese. While lip-smackingly sweet with flavors of red berries and hibiscus nectar, it’s grounded with a backdrop of acidity and steely minerality that resonates long through the finish.

Brewer-Clifton 2012 3-D Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $80

Delicious aromas cover the entire range of the strawberry experience, from the scents of a blossoming strawberry field to frozen berries macerated into a syrup. It’s refreshing and yet grippy on the palate at the same time, with candied raspberry and crushed vanilla bean swirling with bergamot rind, anise, black pepper and pine sap. Imagine mint-wrapped berries on…

Clos Mogador 2012 Red (Priorat)

  • Editors' Choice
  1. $90

With its patented blend of ripe plum and berry aromas matched against notes of wood smoke, herbs and leather, this is ripped and focused in the mouth, with strong but manageable tannins. Flavors of buttery oak, schist, blackberry and cassis culminate with mocha, vanilla and an overall sense of greatness. Drink from 2017 through 2025.
