Allram 2010 Heiligenstein Erste Lage Reserve Riesling (Kamptal)

  • Online Exclusive
An excellent wine from the great Heiligenstein Vineyard. Its perfumed character is full of rich pear and peach flavors, with the cut of intense citrus. The tense mineral texture promises good aging. Screwcap.  — R.V.  (7/1/2012)

Allram 2003 Gaisberg Grüner Veltliner (Kamptal)

  1. $25
Like many of the wines from Austria’s hot 2003 vintage, this is really ripe. Weighty and slightly viscous on the palate, with scents of nectarine that merge easily into flavors of stone fruits, mineral oil and a hint of white pepper. So rich on the finish it seems almost off dry. Imported by Tastings Import Company.  — J.C.  (5/1/2005)

Allram 2005 Zöbinger Heiligenstein Riesling (Kamptal)

  1. $38
Run by Michaela and Erich Hass, Weingut Allram has produced a full, ripe wine in which the fruit fronts layers of mineral and fresh, crisp acidity. The flavors are of white fruits, touched with citrus and almonds. This is a soft wine, but one that retains all the right structure.  — R.V.  (10/1/2006)

Allram 2004 Zöbinger Heiligenstein Riesling (Kamptal)

  1. $38
Delicate, with delicious crisp fruit flavors of apples and white currants. Its mineral character is very obvious in the underlying dryness and tautness of structure.  — R.V.  (10/1/2006)

Allram 2011 Strassertaler Grüner Veltliner (Kamptal)

  • Online Exclusive
A smooth and creamy wine, with a rich, fruity baked-apple character, and tense, tangy acidity. There is a touch of pepper that offers contrast. Drinkable now, this is also worth aging. Screwcap.  — R.V.  (7/1/2012)

Allram 2003 Strassertal Grüner Veltliner (Kamptal)

  1. $14
Another nice GV from Allram—and at an excellent price. Pear, pepper and mineral scents and flavors; a bit oily in the mouth. A bit short on the finish, but a nice intro-level Grüner. Imported by Tastings Import Company.  — J.C.  (5/1/2005)
