Given the prices of Ribera Del Duero's wines these days, this one is a steal. The bouquet pumps black cherry mixed with licorice and vanilla, while the palate has some minerally shale notes to accent fundamental cherry flavors. Finishes with notes of toast, coffee and earth.

Burnt and cheesy smelling, with undefined, leafy red-fruit flavors. Hard and tannic in the mouth, with herbal flavors and a hint of green on the finish. Seems less than clean.
