Armstrong 1999 Shiraz

  1. $54
A promising sweet cherry, vanillin oak and spice nose opens to a very black, very smooth palate. The forward fruit and vanilla of the front end is overtaken by loads of dark oak, rendering it a bit more monolithic than expectied, but still pleasurable. Finishes tart-sweet, with modest length.  — W.E.  (11/1/2001)
