The fruit is intense and concentrated in black currants and cocoa, the tannins are strong and hard, the acidity is perfect, the finish is entirely dry, and there’s a firm minerality. It defines that Napa mountain intensity of concentrated blackberry and cassis fruit, with notes of dark chocolate and toasted cedar wood. It’s a glamorous wine, although it may be too soft to age.
