Potent, dense and showing all the characteristics that make for excellent Argentinean Malbec. The nose is oily and ripe, with chocolate and blackberry. The palate keeps that intensity, showing cassis, tobacco and chocolate flavors. Fine in terms of feel and balance, with Napa-like body and style. Drink now.

Ripe to the tipping point of being a little bit baked, but the nose of spice and mint mixed with violet, black cherry and plum is attractive. The palate on this blend is concentrated but well balanced, and the jammy flavors of plum and berry are not too heavy.

Earthy and meaty, with aromas of dark cherry, plum and a whiff of volatility. Once things settle, it evolves into a full and flowing, semigeneric red with earnest grape and blackberry flavors along with cola. While it’s hard to peg this as varietal Syrah, it’s well made, balanced and full. Good for folks who like full-bodied wines.

Nice and ripe, with cassis, blackberry and some oaky softness up front. The palate is convincing and properly textured, and it deals tasty cassis and plum-like flavors. Across the board this wine is comfortable and comforting; it finishes short but composed, with honest Malbec color, feel and flavor components.

Interesting floral, herb, cherry and chocolate-mint aromas are a good preview of the racy black cherry and berry flavors that rule the palate. The acidity is a bit pointed, giving the wine an edgy feel. But with elevated flavors as well as cola and chocolate on the finish it comes across nice and ready to drink.

A lot of raisin and licorice on the nose hint at overripeness, but there’s also a fair amount of minty green. The palate feel is wide and chunky, but soft, with prune and baked berry flavors. Raisin, chocolate and coffee are present on the jammy finish.
