A lot of oak has been piled onto this wine and it doesn’t seem to be sinking in. The nose is awkward and the palate delivers nothing more than candied cherry. A very simple specimen that’s not too bad but offers almost nothing in the way of complexity or character.

Minty and borderline volatile, with candied cherry and raisin flavors. A generic wine with grabby tannins and grit but little to no elegance.
