The orange, apple and hay notes here taste slightly mature, but have character and appeal. Medium weight, with a faintly viscous feel, the wine finishes dry and smooth. Verdejo generally shows better younger and brisker, but this is still good current drinking. —M.M.  — M.M.  (9/1/2002)
