Light and flowery in the nose, with delicate notes of lavender and smoke. The palate, however, is compact and intense. The cherry fruit is so acid-driven and reduced that it tastes a bit like a powdered drink mix. Probably best with burgers or steak.  — M.S.  (3/1/2004)
