This unwooded Chard is elegant and a little austere, but very nice. It has a sturdy spine with a dry, mineral texture and light pear and citrus flavors. The finish isn’t tremendous at first, but lengthens and reveals citrus flavors with some time in the glass. 500 cases. Imported by Indigo Wine Group.

Out of the chute, the aromas are sweet and cloying, but settle to reveal cured meat and leather notes. Purple fruit on the palate has its share of stably, briary accents, on through the finish. It’s not the deepest, broadest wine on the block, but its unusual profile merits it a look, particularly with food. Imported by Indigo Wine Group.

Fragrant aromas of spice, clove and hickory smoke continue through to the palate, where the same flavors hang on a wiry, black-cherry frame. It’s a straightforward, medium-sized Shiraz, just the right weight to be served with dinner. Imported by Indigo Wine Group.
