This wine shows effort and potential. It’s simple at first, more tannic than fruity, with a hint of licorice and spice, its tannins grippy and a touch bitter and the long finish a little smoky/toasty. A good intro to Lake County Petite Sirah.

This Cab is minty and leathery, with overwhelming vanilla-y tannins at first—maybe from the time spent in all new American oak—that mellow with opening, giving it a soft mouthfeel.

A well-priced, easy-to-like Lake County Chardonnay with lots of minerality and lemony richness that starts to fall flat and sweet on the finish. A little more acidity and a little less sugar would have made this a better wine.
