Cache Creek Vineyards 2006 Petite Sirah (Lake County)

  1. $14
This wine shows effort and potential. It’s simple at first, more tannic than fruity, with a hint of licorice and spice, its tannins grippy and a touch bitter and the long finish a little smoky/toasty. A good intro to Lake County Petite Sirah.  — V.B.  (12/1/2011)

Cache Creek Vineyards 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (Lake County)

  1. $17
This Cab is minty and leathery, with overwhelming vanilla-y tannins at first—maybe from the time spent in all new American oak—that mellow with opening, giving it a soft mouthfeel.  — V.B.  (11/1/2011)

Cache Creek Vineyards 2008 Chardonnay (Lake County)

  1. $12
A well-priced, easy-to-like Lake County Chardonnay with lots of minerality and lemony richness that starts to fall flat and sweet on the finish. A little more acidity and a little less sugar would have made this a better wine.  — V.B.  (11/1/2011)
