Sforzato is a unique Italian wine made with the same appassimento process used in Amarone. Grapes are air-dried before vinification for extra power, concentration and intensity. This expression shows tertiary aromas of old leather, dried tobacco, prune and black licorice. Drink now.

Made primarily (95%) with Nebbiolo Chiavennasca grapes, this high-altitude red opens with a lean garnet color and subdued aromas of strawberry preserves, dried raspberry, pressed violets and moist earth. The mouthfeel is acidic and sharp, making this wine a good match for aged cheese.
