Casa Donoso 2008 Evolución Sauvignon Blanc (Maule Valley)

Heavy and pickled, and not exhibiting much clarity or freshness on the nose, palate or finish. Not many Chilean SBs are really lacking, but this one is. It shows sour apple and lime for fruit, and with its briny pickle flavors it just isn’t very good.  — M.S.  (3/1/2009)
