Plump and ever so ripe, with hedonistic cinnamon, caramel and coffee aromas atop jammy black plum and prune. A tiny bit soft on the palate, but with enough racy kirsch, cassis and nutmeg to rank it as a showstopper. Port-like at the end, where you finally feel some tannic weight.

The Cabernet Sauvignon component (70%) really comes through here as spicy, green notes of rosemary and curry leaf. But the 30% Merlot adds soft lushness and sweet cherry.

Dark and dense, with medicinal aromas of jerky, molasses and fresh-cut wood. Runs bold and sweet on the palate, with candied plum and black cherry. Quite a lot of burnt sugar on the finish renders it moody and chewy.

Lean and light in color, Luminoso offers bright red fruit aromas backed by white almond, cola and exotic spice. The wine has some tart or bitter flavors with cooling freshness on the close.

Damp and dank smelling, with some caramel and fat fruit. Flavors of prune and carob are milky and full. Big and sweet. Not too charming.
