This richly concentrated wine offers a playful touch of dried mint, licorice and root beer behind a solid base of ripe, chewy berry flavors. There’s a subtle firmness to the tannins that helps give this wine structure and length.

This is a pristine and elegant Bolgheri Superiore with a particularly focused aromatic profile. The blend is 60-20-20 Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc and Merlot. A green, herbal note comes through. You’ll also recognize elements of caper, green olive, mineral, tobacco and exotic fruit. It shows thick fruit and dense concentration as well.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot, this is generous in terms of its aromatic intensity and persistence. The wine opens with tones of espresso, dark berry, sweet spice and chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich and opulent.

There’s a modern touch to this wine thanks to its generous and long-lasting tones of espresso bean and chocolate backed by fruity cherry aromas. Beyond those standard characteristics are tones of dried herbs that recall coastal Tuscany. It’s huge in structure but should also be ready to drink in two or three years.

Castello di Bolgheri enjoys some of the most coveted vineyard sites that are located a stone’s throw away from the Bolgheri castle tower. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and it delivers black fruit aromas, backed by wet earth, button mushroom and leather notes. It feels plush, yet structured.

The quality of this red blend is obvious and you really get a sense of fresh fruit and Tuscan sunshine here. In the mouth, the wine offers intensity and thickness but not in an exaggerated way. The finish is smooth and slightly sweet.

From Contessa Franca Spalletti Trivelli, this wine goes back and forth. At one moment it shows light but clean red fruit but at other points it seems a touch weedy, pickled and green. Raspberry, strawberry and cola control the flavor profile, while the finish is soft and surprisingly light.
