Always an attractive wine, Anthonic is in good form in 2008. It has weight as well as fruit, giving a ripe, rounded character to go with its tannins. It feels dense, although not heavy, and has a solid chunky, smoky finish.

A powerful, opulent wine that is packed with the ripe fruit of 2003. Its structure is dense, showing relatively soft but dry tannins. The high proportion of Merlot (59%) shows in the jammy fruits, and in the generosity of the finish. Imported by Eber Bros./Paramount Brands.

A serious, intense wine, a success for the vintage, with its dusty tannins, solid blackberry fruits and a firm core. The wine is weighty, maybe just giving a green pepper hint, but generally sitting foursquare in the mouth.
