Yes, there is some Malbec (20%) in this wine, which comes from vineyards just on the edge of the Bordeaux suburbs, in the Entre-deux-Mers. The wine is soft, ripe, the tannins light, but well in balance. There are red plum and licorice with an attractive jammy edge, the final acidity giving the wine a lift.

Initially, the acidity cuts through this structured effort. Then the ripe fruits surface, creating a wine that is both rich and firmly textured. It is full in the mouth, rich and age worthy.
