92-94. Barrel sample. This wine shows its crisp side immediately, followed by flavors of rich fruit. The wine has weight that lies underneath its deliciously fresh character, and there is a final note of spiced orange.
Château Nairac 2005 White (Barsac)
For the vintage, this is a relatively light wine, even though the botrytis gives some dryness. It is more about honey and sweetness at this stage, with a light, poised, fresh aftertaste.
Château Nairac 2004 White (Barsac)
Typically Nairac, this is elegant and delicate, with great freshness and acidity. While it is not hugely concentrated, it is beautifully ripe, an aperitif style rather than for dessert.
Château Nairac 2006 White (Barsac)
Classic Barsac that goes for delicacy and elegance. The flavors are apples and cream, light honey and a wonderful floral lift. Pure lines, fresh with acidity and lively peach flavors, suggest a wine that will develop quickly but very attractively.
