Château Puech-Haut 2000 Clos du Pic Red (Coteaux du Languedoc)

An old vine cuvee of Syrah and Carignan, this great wine, bottled unfiltered, is packed with dense tannins. Flavors of new wood, give style and structure. Powered by dense herbal fruits and ripe flavors, this is big, yet retains an essential food-friendly element.  — R.V.  (12/1/2004)

Château Puech-Haut 2002 Tête de Cuvée White (Coteaux du Languedoc)

There is great intensity of flavor in this wine from its whole bunch maceration and its 8 month wood aging. This is serious, ripe wine with delicious exotic flavors from the blend of Roussanne, Marsanne and Grenach Blanc.  — R.V.  (12/1/2004)

Château Puech-Haut 2005 Clos du Pic Pic St. Loup Red (Coteaux du Languedoc)

Brooding and mysterious, this is a serious wine that deserves a serious steak to go with it. Dark and ripe with dominant notes of black licorice followed by black berries, plum, milk chocolate and thyme. Full and rich in the mouth with a long finish that evolves from fruit to spice and finally ends on a delicious mocha note.  — L.B.  (8/1/2009)

It's packed in a stylish frosted bottle. And luckily the wine inside echoes the outside in its full, but elegant character, crisp and flavored with light tannins, cherries and a layer of acidity.  — R.V.  (12/1/2004)

  1. $20
A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, this wine shows beautiful components of raspberry preserves, juicy red plum guts, rosemary, licorice and hints of violet. Vibrant and fruity with a lighter weight than its attributes might suggest and a clean, lingering finish.  — L.B.  (8/1/2009)

A wine made from purchased grapes, this is fresh, juicy and youthful. This is a great barbecue wine, made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah. Soft tannins balancing acidity give a great, easy-drinking wine.  — R.V.  (12/1/2004)
