This is a finely made wine, bringing out really concentrated herbaceous flavors, almost New Zealand in their intensity. It is fresh, green, grassy, ready to drink now.

This 2003, fat and full, shows skilled winemaking, extracting intensity of flavor and a fine balance from a hot, superripe year. Toast and cream flavors at the fore, along with a light touch of acidity.

With polished, new-wood aromas and flavors, this is a smooth wine. Hints of mint go with the black plum notes and the firmer, bitter chocolate flavors. In a modern style, this is likely to age quickly.
