Ripe plum, dark coffee and spice flavors join the firm tannins in this intense wine. It has a strong structure that needs to soften to allow the juicy black-currant flavor to surface. Give it 4–5 years.

An unusual blend, with a high proportion of Petit Verdot, this wine relies on its dense tannins as much as its berry fruits to provide punch. It has concentration, as well as some dry bitterness, the acidity continuing right to the end.
