The pure, hedonistic bouquet is a gorgeous meld of mint and rubber, sweetness and spice, and just a touch of maple. The palate is deep and saturated, with suave plum, berry and chocolate flavors. The finish is huge but balanced, with licorice and bitter herbs.

Clos d L’Obac’s dessert wine is the perfect Spanish take on recioto d’Italia. Aromas of licorice, dried cheese, balsamic vinegar and tight-grained oak create a complex bouquet, and the palate doesn’t disappoint. Cinnamon and clove notes dress up the raisiny fruit, and later on there’s anisette and leather. Best with an aged cheese after dinner.
