This Manzoni (a cross between Riesling and Pinot Bianco) has a thick but neutral nose with evenly measured aromas of stone fruit, melon and bright grapefruit. The wine boasts a creamy, thick structure with spicy acidity that could stand up to white meat or shellfish.

The wine opens with a hint of sulphur or matchstick that doesn’t seem to blow off completely. Once you get past that little glitch, this sparkling wine does offer zesty crispness and refreshing lightness that kicks in at the rear.
