Strong, smoky and meaty at first, and then giving way to more expressive and subtle fruit and sea notes. The palate offers a delicious mix of ripe apple, lemon and papaya, while the finish is very full and complex. A good match for seafood or poultry.

One of the few Vernaccia that doesn’t carry the San Gimignano pedigree (it’s from Sardegna). And it is indeed different; it is more full-bodied than most, with so much pepper and citrus pith that it almost seems bitter. That said, it’s firm as a rock with serious backbone.
