A bit strange smelling for Rioja in that the nose deals a mix of candied berry aromas along with stemmy, herbal, compost notes. The palate is thick and chewy, while the flavor profile includes lightly baked, creamy berry and roasted accents. Stocky and fruity but with issues.

Fleshy aromas of citrus, apricot and peach set up a crisp, narrow, citrusy palate of tangerine and orange. There’s not a lot of depth or body to this juicy, fleshy, unoaked Rioja white, which finishes citric and fresh. Drink now.

Smells flat and sweet, with a plastic-like essence. Zesty in feel but angular, with tangy acids and candied red-fruit flavors along with a pinch of dry spice. Tastes oaky on the finish. Tempranillo with 20% Garnacha.

A nervy wine with sweet aromas and a hint of nail polish. The palate is chippy and sweet, with minty green accents. Hot and tight on the finish, with a resin-like flavor and sharp acidity.

Murky out of the chute, with heavy plum aromas. The palate is sticky and seems on its way to turning flat. Tastes kind of mealy and dull, with red apple and caramel notes. Not fresh enough to do the job.
