Zinfandel and Syrah bring peppery and meaty flavors to this robust, dry red blend. Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec add body, tannins and a rich, dark blackberry depth. Production was a little more than 2,000 cases.

Drink this lusty, hearty red wine now with beef stew and sausage casseroles. It’s a big, softly tannic wine that’s sweet with blackberry, licorice and chocolate flavors.

Nice and dry, with an elegant structure of acids and firm, dusty tannins and a balanced application of oak. However, the wine is a bit thin and lacking in richness, especially compared to Napa. It shows herb-tinged, earthy flavors that suggest black cherries, green olives and golden tobacco.

A little sharp and awkward in the mouth, with some green flavors leading to a tart finish. There are enough berry, cherry and oak flavors to make the wine interesting. Shows a classy dryness, but doesn’t seem to have the balance to age. Drink up.

A nice, pleasant Chardonnay from a winery that donates 10% of profits to animal and guide dog causes. Rich and creamy, it’s strong in tropical fruit and vanilla spice flavors.

Crisp and creamy, an everyday style of Chard made in the New World, Californian style. It’s front-loaded in jammy pine-apple and papaya flavors.

Good, but a bit thin and tannic, with a dry, astringent mouthfeel framing modest currant and herb flavors. Tastes like the kind of wine you want to age, but the stuffing isn’t there.
