This is eastern Oregon Syrah, a completely different (and to my taste, far superior) style than the better-known southern Oregon Syrahs. Aromatically rich with smoked meat, tobacco, thyme, sage, berries and a dash of Kahlúa, it is nonetheless balanced and not too alcoholic.
