Domaine Chassagne 2007 Côtes de Ruillères Gamay (Morgon)

This is on the lean side, but that’s to do with the fresh acidity that permeates right through. The texture is all there, but not quite fleshed out. However, there is a compensation in the fresh, juicy aftertaste. Worth waiting for 6 months.  — R.V.  (11/1/2009)

Domaine Chassagne 2008 Gamay (Beaujolais-Villages)

A well-rounded wine, all ripe fruit with good berry flavors and lively acidity. Very complete, this is quaff-it-now Beaujolais, and it’s delicious.  — R.V.  (11/1/2009)
