This wine is named after Thierry Maravel’s father Antonin, who built a small fountain in the family vineyards. It is powered by wood at this stage in its life. But under the new wood tastes, there is powerful, dense fruit that will come through and dominate with its rich licorice and tar flavors.

A brooding, intense wine that layers powerful tannins over new wood and black, heavy fruit flavors. Give this wine at least five years before drinking.

Enticing perfumes lead into a big, deeply colored wine with modern, polished fruit, layers of new wood and sweetly ripe, dark flavors. This wine should develop well over the next five years.
