Ripe white fruits, Turkish delight and spice lead this complex, aromatic Chardonnay. Balanced on the palate, with layers of peach, citrus and tropical fruit, this is buoyed by fresh acidity. Suitable for fuller-bodied meals, it’s also delicious on its own.

A powerful wine with a fruity core, showing flavors of blueberry, cherry and plum all wrapped in sweet tannin. Barnyard aromas add character to the ripe nose, while oak rounds out the wine, adding some dusty spice notes.

Evangelos Gerovassiliou has done a lot of work with French varieties in Greece, and this version has paid off. The oak is obvious but not dominant, offering aromas of butterscotch and toast and a smooth feel. The fruit stands on its own, with guava and peach flavors and aromas. Mint makes an appearance before the long, citrus-and-spice finish.

This fumé starts with aromas of peach, vanilla and spice, followed by an elegant balance of citrus fruit, toasted vanilla and lemon zest. Fresh but with added body, this SB will pair well with oilier, bolder flavored fish, cheese, cream dishes.

Still one of the benchmark Malagousias of Greece, this wine offers aromas of white flowers, peach, lime and lemon peel, followed by delicate waves of mango, citrus and spice. Refreshing and elegant, it pairs well with seafood and poultry as well as spicy Thai cuisine.

Not profoundly complex, but juicy and satisfying, this single-varietal Malagousia’s aromas and flavors bring to mind nectarines and clementines harmoniously bound together with great balance and length.

This is a nice facsimile of a northern Rhône, featuring a fine balance between the complementary herbs, berries and white pepper. Finishes long and crisp, with firm tannins. Drink now–2010+.
