This is impressively dark in color and appropriately dark and brooding on the nose as well. It’s rather full-bodied and weighty because of the low yields and high ripeness of the year, with almost New World intensity of fruit (blueberries) married to Old World structure. Drink now–2015, maybe beyond.

Starts off rather dark, marked by smoke, charred wood, espresso and black olive notes. But there’s a core of fruit and spice as well. Feels plump and round in the mouth, but lacks great depth or structure. Drink now for its pretty finish filled with spice and tea leaves.
