Beyer’s winery is situated in a 16th-century coaching inn, hence the name of this range of wines. This Pinot Gris has power and intensity, showing very ripe tropical fruits and some acidity. There is a definite sweet, spicy edge here.

In 2007, this was produced as a late-harvest wine. In 2010, by contrast, it is a crisp, apple- and pear-flavored wine. It has bright fruit, lively acidity and just an edge of sweetness.
