Originally named for the Goddess of the Dawn in ancient Greek mythology, Eos Estate Winery was founded in 1985 by the Arciero family. In fact the Paso Robles based winery was modeled after the monastery of Monte Cassino in Italy, near the Arciero family’s hometown. In 2010, Eos Vineyards was acquired by Foley Family Wines, also a family run business. Amy Freeman, who joined Foley in 2010 as an assistant winemaker, is currently the head winemaker and oversees all of the Eos wine production. There are three different lines of wine within Eos, including the entry Lost Angel line, the Estate and Estate Reserve lines. While the Estate Reserve includes only a Zinfandel and a Bordeaux red blend, the Lost Angel and Estate series include wines produced from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and various blends according to our Eos wine reviews. For more information on these wines be sure to check out our Eos wine ratings below.
