This wine opens with a full Zin-like nose, all pepper and plum with traces of blackberry and though it’s a touch oaky the wine’s easy to drink with soft, ripe tannins. A blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot.

This blend of Bordeaux varieties (39% Cab Sauv, 37% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Cab Franc and 4% Malbec) opens with a nice purity of fruit, mainly plum and cassis and shows a deftness of blending. There’s a touch of green pepper at the finish.

A little bitter in acidity, but that’s by itself. A nice buttery lobster will certainly complement it. Otherwise, it has rich tropical fruit and a zesty minerality, and a long finish.

A very minty, woody, red-fruit Cab with soft tannins that’s quite drinkable. 100% Cab though it tastes and smells as though there could be Cab Franc.

You’ll find some tannins and herbaceous aromas and flavors in this Cab, which actually give it good grip, and makes it easier to pair with complex foods. It’s very dry, with plummy, blackberry flavors.

A good, basic dry white wine, with well-ripened fruit and a touch of oak. Has a creamy texture, and some interesting, lemon and butterscotch flavors in the finish.
