Guenoc 2000 Vintage Port (Guenoc Valley)

  1. $30
A delicious dessert wine, dark ruby in color, and super-aromatic with caramelized wood, blackcurrant, chocolate and vanilla notes. The chocolate fudge, blackberry tart and spicy gingerbread flavors are intense. Very sweet, yet balanced with acidity. Makes you think of winter fireplaces, chocolate truffles and someone special.  — S.H.  (2/1/2005)

Guenoc 1996 Bella Vista Vyd Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

  1. $41
An intense and concentrated wine with huge fruit but good acidity to hold it all together. The finish is long with touches of black cherry and chocolate on the end.  — L.W.  (3/1/2000)

Guenoc 2006 Serpentine Meadow Port Petite Sirah (Guenoc Valley)

  1. $25
Very, very sweet, with exotic flavors of honey, black cherry liqueur, raspberry tart, white chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla cream and cinnamon spice, balanced with crisp acidity. In other words, delicious.  — S.H.  (12/1/2009)

Guenoc 2000 Serpentine Meadow Petite Sirah (Guenoc Valley)

  1. $35
A huge wine, yet balanced and even elegant. Filled with ripe cherries, blackberries, grilled meat, white chocolate and smoky oak, and sturdy in tannins, although they’re soft and sweet. Delicious now, and should age effortlessly through this decade.  — S.H.  (3/1/2005)

Guenoc 1999 Genevieve Magoon Vineyard Reserve Tutu Chardonnay (Guenoc Valley)

  1. $40
This Chardonnay reads on the nose and palate like key lime pie. Sweet and sour citrus notes are offset by graham cracker, vanilla and ginger snap. This is great juice with plenty of dimension—at once smooth and full, creamy and spicy. Don’t drink it for dessert, though—try it with grilled chicken in a citrus and spice marinade. Top Value.  — W.E.  (7/1/2001)

Guenoc 1997 Reserve Beckstoffer IV Vineyar Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

  1. $41
Black-cherry and plum aromas on the nose open to similar flavors, with toast and mineral accents on the palate. An elegant and refined wine, with a lengthy finish that displays cassis and earth flavors, and moderate, even tannins. Not a heavy or fat wine, it shows very good balance and should be cellared for three to five years.  — W.E.  (11/1/2000)

Guenoc 2000 Estate Selection Sauvignon Blanc

  1. $15
Interestingly, there are dried fruits and flowers with a touch of petrol on the bouquet. This wine sits really nicely in the mouth, offering a plethora of lemon-lime, melon and pear flavors. It’s rich and ripe, bordering on the heavy side. But it manages to toe that all-important line of balance, and therefore it qualifies as a winner.  — W.E.  (8/1/2002)

Guenoc 1998 Genevieve Magoon Vineyard Reserve Tutu Unfiltered Chardonnay (Guenoc Valley)

  1. $40
Tastes like harvest in Hawaii. Toasted marshmallow, coconut and sunny tropical fruit notes hula on the opulent nose. A medium-weight palate of rich and warm, very comfortable flavors—apple cider, spice and earth—follows. A tangy, spicy finish makes you wish it were a touch longer.  — W.E.  (7/1/2001)
