Hughes Family Vineyards 2006 Savannah Vineyard Syrah (Sonoma Mountain)

This is a voluptuously rich, rather soft but very complex Syrah. Dry and oaky, it shows a wealth of blackberry, blackcurrant, teriaki-splashed grilled beef, bacon, sautéed wild mushroom, pepper and smoky oak flavors. The tannins are strong, but finely ground.
