Steely and smoky, this luscious, full-bodied wine has a gorgeous mineral tone. The palate is dry, yet decadently fruity and floral, with loads of dainty blossoms and yellow cherries. A rich, nuanced, impeccably balanced wine.

This is a peachy, plump Riesling that’s mouthfilling yet not overly soft. The fruity flavors of peach and melon carry a touch of citrus and mineral on the finish. For drinking now and over the next several years.

Smoky and diesel-scented, with bold baked apple and pear flavors and a dash of cinnamon. This is a big, impressively endowed Riesling that features just a touch of sweetness, balanced by dry spices on the finish.

Not a stereotypical fruity Riesling, the 2009 Qvinterra features plenty of savory, umami-like notes of broth and brine to go along with hints of sun-warmed peaches. It’s medium bodied, with a long, velvety-textured finish unusual for a white wine. Intriguing.

A kindler, gentler style of trocken, with medium body, harmonious notes of smoke, truffle and honey and lively spice notes (think pepper, ginger) on the finish.
