Ripe and pure, with good heft, body, structure and length. The blend is 60% Syrah and 40% Garnacha, and while the early aromas are tough and rubbery they soon morph into plum and berry. Raspberry and full plum flavors are thick but balanced as spice and pepper close things out.

Aromas of fresh tomato, citrus peel and red fruits are a touch austere, but the mouth and flavors are more generous. The palate is well balanced and the flavors run sweet, ripe and chewy, with berry fruit and creamy licorice notes on the finish. A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Garnacha from Catalonia.

Tropical and easy to like. We don’t see many white Garnachas in the U.S., but this one shows mango, melon and vanilla on the nose and the palate follows up with lychee, apple and baking spice flavors. Plump and mellow but with adequate acidity; refreshing while it’s young. Drink now. Imported by Grapes of Spain. Best Buy.

Reddish in color, with full-blast plum and candied apple aromas. It looks like a lug in the glass, but in the mouth it’s more refined and lean, with slightly pickled strawberry flavors leading to a citrus and scallion finish. Plenty of zest and citric acid despite the ominous color.

Simple apple, peach and citrus aromas form a mild opening that sets the stage for what amounts to an easygoing, fresh wine with white-fruit flavors of peach and nectarine. Dry, pithy and clean on the finish.
