Dark colored, highly perfumed wine, packing rich fruit with its ripe, chunky structure. Black berries give a juicy character, taming the acidity, and allowing the wood smoke to wreath around the wine. Age for at leasy six years, but this can withstand more.

The steep Cazetiers vineyard is among the best of Gevrey’s Premier Crus. This is a robust wine that can take all the wood thrown at it and still come back tasting of sweet plums and fresh raspberries. The tannins, with their smoky character, shine right through the heart of the wine.

With citrus and apple skin, layered with fresh green plums, this is both complex and deliciously fruity. The vanilla flavors from wood aging round out the wine.
